More Canadian Visas Planned for 2019

Canada plans to increase the number of Canadian visas granted to new permanent residents during the next three years. The Canadian immigration plan, which was announced on October 31, 2018, says the goal for Canadian visas issued to permanent residents in 2019 will be increased to 330,800. During 2020, the government plans to approve as many as 341,000 people for immigration to Canada and will seek to issue 350,000 Canadian visas for permanent residency in 2021. The majority of people who will receive a permanent resident visa to Canada are skilled foreign workers and their family members.
